Last summer I helped renovate a family home into an assisted living facility for seniors and the business got licensed in March this year after numerous state inspections. This experience was so satisfying and after years of design school I felt like I found my niche. I have been making mood boards that inspired jewelry designs in the last three seasons and now I’m doing an interior design course as part of my Ba. Integrated Design. This is my favorite course so far and I’m looking to start a career in designing concepts for living and commercial spaces.

When did you realize you had a passion for your profession?

In the Summer of 2019 when I worked on a home that was to be transformed into a commercial living facility for the sinuous and children with developmental disabilities.

I personally am a Kenyan woman studying in America and my style is very African Inspired therefore I’d like to say that I have a modern minimalistic natural sense of style and my favorite space is the kitchen and living areas. There’s so much that goes on in there and so figuring out ways to make it simple, stylish and practical is a puzzle I’m delighted to solve.

Favorite places you have visited that sparked your artistic side or inspired you to design:

The Bomas Of Kenya. This is more than a space. It is an experience, you get to live in the Manyattas and hits that the traditional Africans and some modern day Africans still live in. That ancient architecture that was made with natural and simple materials that lasted centuries. I also recently saw a YouTube video on people making 3D printed homes and that blew my mind. We could eradicate homelessness by printing houses like we print everything else. Design should be used to improve peoples lives and that’s how I’ll help improve the world.

Expectation Steps of Requested Booking

1) Your consultant will be sent your requested day and time of consultation

2) Your consultant will either "agree and confirm" or "request a reschedule"

3) If a reschedule or consultant reassignment is needed then you will be contacted with a new consultant suggestion based on similar qualifications and schedule availability of new consultant.

4) Once both parties have agreed, a confirmation of acceptance will be emailed out.

5) In the event no consultant is available to meet your requested booking time frame and/or appointment type your payment will be refunded.

Cancellation Policy

You may reschedule or cancel your appointment at any time prior to 48 hours before your consultation takes place. Appointment cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of your appointment time-frame will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
