Get To Know Me!
When did you realize you had a passion for your profession?
I was very young when I realized my passion for Art and Design, Construction and Architecture.
My father was a fine carpenter and building contractor, so it’s in my blood…
The visual arts have been a large part of my life’s journey. I have studied Drawing and Painting, Makeup, Photography, and Art History while living in NY and then Southern France.
Interior Design has been a natural progression, and I’m able to use my education and travel experiences to design in a wholistic or “big picture” way for clients.
Interior Design Professionals are typically experienced with a variety of styles. Describe your favorite spaces you have created:
One of my favorite projects was a multipurpose, flexible Gathering and Learning Space.
I designed it with contemporary modular furniture accented with subtle patterns and finishes which pay homage to the diverse community of Latino and Native American cultures; and colors and textures of the desert in Spring.
I’m presently working on a Great room with a challenging space plan. I designed a Furniture Plan to optimize the space for entertaining with cozy groupings. The furniture and finishes are elegant, soft contemporary. Hardscapes of warm grey linen texture tile, partial brick accent wall, smokey brown mill work, marble countertops; butter soft, white modular sectional with chrome accents; round swivel chairs with neutral pattern, chrome base and subtle splashes of blue; Gorgeous complimentary chandeliers and blown glass pendants.
Color Palette: Smokey Brown, light greige, creamy white, with Classic Blue accent.
Favorite places you have visited that sparked your artistic side or inspired you to design:
Living in Arles, France changed my life!…The experience of studying at “National School Supériere De La Photographie” and studying Art History throughout Europe enhanced my creativity and the way I saw art, architecture and design.
-A trip to Hong Kong and Guangdong, China produced several mixed media art exhibitions.
-I grew up in Upstate New York, and spent lots of time in our cultural NYC.
Your top 3 favorite foods to eat if all food was equally healthy:
I enjoy most fine cuisine: Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Thai, Ethiopian…And always a good pastry or chocolate truffle for dessert.
Any other languages you are fluent in?
Some French
Fun fact about you:
I usually start the day with a morning meditation, then either yoga, jog or a hike with my German Shepherd. But, when I need to get my confidence to the maximum I add a super hero posture...
I can be obsessed with Sustainability!
I was a member of the Maricopa CCC Sustainability Committee
Sustainability considerations are always a part of my designs.
